Lexcel is a Law Society’s Practice Management Standard and provides a law practice with a Total Management System. It takes the core principles of ISO 9001 in combination with

· Pertinent requirements to running a Law Firm

The standard is a blueprint for the design and maintenance of a management system that is wholly applicable to running a law practice and is more reliant on written documentation than ISO 9001. It sets the structure that Law Practices in England & Wales should adhere to but also allows for individual practices to design a system that works for them.

Implementation to the Lexcel standard helps to ensure your practice runs in a consistent manner that is fair and equal to staff and customers and provide a consistently high service to your clients.

Being Lexcel accredited is a good marketing tool within the industry and results in lower indemnity insurance.
